Click here to follow the g1 Vales channel on WhatsApp Also according to the City Hall, the decision takes into account the need to preserve the functioning of programs, projects, benefits and social assistance services aimed mainly at elderly people, people with disabilities, children, teenagers and families in vulnerable situations. “Among the factors that motivated the measure are the historical accumulation of repressed demands, the increase in demand for services, the risk of discontinuity of services and the existence of technical reports that indicate the possibility of lack of assistance to the population if immediate measures were not adopted”, informed the City Hall. See the videos that are trending on g1 Among the points highlighted for the publication of the decree is the situation of Long-Term Institutions for the Elderly (ILPIs) certified by the Municipal Social Assistance Council. Currently, these institutions house 127 elderly people and 26 people with disabilities, many of them with a high degree of dependence and in need of permanent care. The decree authorizes the Municipal Department of Social Assistance to adopt all necessary measures to face the emergency situation, in order to avoid interruption of services. The adoption of exceptional contracting and partnership regimes is also permitted. Furthermore, the processing of administrative processes related to the actions provided for in the decree will occur on an urgent and priority basis.
