The owner of the restaurant, located in Vila Industrial, says that the idea came about after a trip. "We saw it on a trip and found it interesting. As every store has a difference, this is ours", says Eliane Rodrigues Nascimento. "[The pizzas] are great for meetings," he adds. Before putting it on the menu, the team carried out several tests to check whether the size would work in practice. After receiving the first customers, they understood that the 70 cm size was in demand. “It was a success,” says the owner. From screen to table Another pizzeria decided to transform films and series into flavors. The so-called "seasonal pizzas" are available for a limited time and tend to arouse customer curiosity. One of the biggest hits was the pizza inspired by the famous chocolate cake from the film "Matilda" (1996), in reference to the scene in which one of the students is forced by the school principal to eat the entire sweet. According to manager Marcos Hamaguti, the combination usually surprises those who try it. "Customers really like it. With some flavors they may be a little apprehensive as they have never seen anything like this on a pizza, but as soon as they try it, their perception of this crazy flavor changes", he comments. Another creation was inspired by the character Tristeza, from the animation "Inside Out". The sweet pizza had ingredients such as blue ice cream and white marshmallow after a request from the manager's daughter. "Those who order these pizzas are usually looking for a different experience, either out of curiosity or because they already know our special flavors", he comments. At the open-air markets in Bauru, one of the attractions is the pizza cone. Entrepreneur Pedro Bonaldo, known as Alf, started selling the product in 2023 with practicality in mind. "The idea came up to participate in the fairs and allow people to eat while walking", he reveals. According to him, the format also awakens nostalgia. "It's a nostalgia that takes us back to the early 2000s, a time when this product was all the rage," he says. The day before sales, Alf leaves the pizzas pre-baked and the flavors already assembled. But it's not just the cone that has been successful due to the "Brazilian" way of serving the dish. Another different bet is the fried pizza. According to the restaurant owner, there are no secrets. The pizza is made open (as is the case with regular preparation), then it is stuffed and, finally, closed and fried. According to owner Gabriel Ferreira, the result is surprising. "Frying absorbs little fat (less than 4%) and drying it is also special, leaving the pizza with an irresistible crunch", he reveals. With sales in Bauru, Piratininga (SP) and Agudos (SP), the location's desire is to become a reference in the region.
