They were sent to the Casa Foundation. According to the Civil Police, the three report that they called a race to steal the driver's car. José Edson received a rear naked choke and lost consciousness. Police suspect he may have been thrown into the river while still alive. They were taken to the Children and Youth Police Station (Diju), they claimed that they bought the vehicle for R$1,300 at a drug trafficking point in the city. After interrogation, they were released. The car was handed over to José Edson's family, but taken on Thursday (16) for forensic examination. Suspicions against teenagers This Friday, the teenagers were taken to the police station to give a new statement and confessed. What helped the police advance their investigations was access to data from the race that José Edson was doing moments before he disappeared. According to delegate André Baldochi, responsible for the investigation, the 13-year-old teenager called the car via an app using his stepfather's account. "Following the vehicle, we identified that they stopped at a gas station. We went to that gas station and, based on the images, we saw that the vehicle was there and refueled. The station gave us proof of the card and the victim's card was used. We found that four purchases were made with the victim's card", says the delegate.
