The city hall recognized the historical, cultural and economic importance of the fair, in addition to the impacts generated by the cancellation for traders, exhibitors, artists, workers and the entire population. “However, given the current circumstances, this is a necessary, responsible decision guided by the public interest,” highlighted the statement. The municipal administration concluded the text by thanking “everyone’s understanding and affirms its commitment to transparency, responsibility in the application of public resources and the protection of the population of Granite”. ExpoGranito is considered one of the largest agribusiness fairs in Sertão do Araripe. The program includes a cattle and goat exhibition, a dairy tournament and a flour house, selling cheese, sweets and typical foods.
