People on the edge were rescued and helped. Reproduction / Social media A boat with 15 people on board sank in Marajó Bay, in Pará, this Friday (31). All people were rescued. The case was confirmed by the Civil Police (PC) this Saturday (1st). The vessel was heading to the municipality of Santa Cruz do Arari, in the Marajó archipelago, and began to sink near the island of Cotijuba, in Belém. There were no deaths or injuries reported. There were only material losses. All occupants were rescued before the vessel sank completely and received care from rescue teams. The Civil Police (PC) reported that the Ponta de Pedras police station, a city in Marajó, is investigating the circumstances of the wreck. g1 asked the Agency for Regulation and Control of Public Transport Services of the State of Pará (Artran) whether the vessel was in good standing, but received no response until the publication of this report.
