The meeting will be held on the 29th, at 2 pm, in the Grupo Tribuna auditorium. In this edition, the project expands its strategic perspective and brings the debate closer to decisions that drive companies, markets and public policies. The program is aimed at executives, businesspeople, public managers, specialists and professionals interested in understanding how environmental, social and governance factors have been transforming the economy. With the theme “Climate Risks and Economic Transformation: How Companies and Markets Are Preparing”, the event will analyze the effects of extreme weather events on economic activity. The proposal is to discuss how companies and governments can incorporate the management of these risks into planning, investments and long-term strategies. EXPERT OPENS THE PROGRAMMING The opening will feature the participation of economist Gesner Oliveira, professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and coordinator of the Center for Infrastructure and Environmental Solutions Studies. In his presentation, he will show how climate risks are already changing patterns of production, consumption, investment and international trade. BUSINESS RESILIENCE Next, the main panel will discuss how companies can strengthen their ability to respond to increasingly frequent and intense climate events. Among the topics planned are impacts on exports and imports, logistics, infrastructure, insurance and the financial market. Matthew Shirts, an American journalist based in Brazil, will participate in the conversation; André Dabus, director of Infrastructure and Construction at Marsh Corretora de Seguros and specialist in risk management, insurance and guarantee programs for large projects; Túlio Marques, executive with experience in corporate insurance, surety bonds, infrastructure and operations; and Rodrigo Sluminsky, executive partner for Environment, Climate Change, ESG and Energy Transition at Gaia Advogados and member of the Laclima Advisory Committee. The program seeks to bring together technical knowledge and practical application, offering the public different perspectives on the economic challenges associated with climate change and the measures necessary to reduce vulnerabilities.
