Candidate Enilton Rodrigues, from PSOL, arrives at the TV Mirante studios Adriano Soares/Grupo Mirante The state directory of the Socialism and Freedom Party (PSOL) announced, this Monday (27), that Enilton Rodrigues withdrew his pre-candidacy for the Government of Maranhão and will start running for a seat in the Federal Senate in the 2026 elections. The change is part of an alliance signed with the Workers' Party (PT). With the agreement, PSOL now supports vice-governor Felipe Camarão's pre-candidacy for the Palácio dos Leões. ? Click here to follow the new g1 Maranhão channel on WhatsApp With the decision, Enilton Rodrigues leaves the race for the Government of Maranhão and starts directing the pre-campaign for a vacancy in the Federal Senate. The proposals presented by Enilton should be incorporated into the project defended by Felipe Camarão, according to PSOL. Applications must be confirmed at a convention on Saturday (1st).

The composition brings together the PSOL and the Sustainability Network, which form a party federation, in addition to the PT, the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB), the Green Party (PV) and the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB).
