TRE-SE publishes voter profile for the 2026 election Data released by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) show an X-ray of the Sergipe electorate, made up of 1,740,124 people able to go to the polls to choose new representatives in the 2026 election. The number is around 4% higher compared to the 2022 election. The increase was 68,323 voters. This year, the positions of president of the Republic, governor, senator, federal deputy and state deputy are up for grabs. The first round will be on October 4th. Women are the majority, representing 925,812 (53.20%), while men total 814,312 (46.80%). Another piece of information collected by the TSE concerns the use of social names in the electoral register. The social name is the one by which trans and transvestite people identify themselves and are socially recognized. In Sergipe, 274 voters made this option on the electoral register. Age group Voters aged 25 to 29 form the largest age group in Sergipe, with 179,691 voters. The smallest age group is voters aged 100 or over, which totals 601 people. For this range, voting is optional. In Brazil, voting is mandatory for those over 18 years of age and optional for illiterates, young people aged 16 and 17 and those over 70 years of age. In Sergipe, 18,076 voters reported this condition, representing 1.04% of the total eligible to vote in the state. The numbers correspond to the information declared and recorded in the electoral register and may not represent the total number of people with disabilities in each state. Educational level Another section of the electoral register concerns the voters' level of education. Sergipe is one of the five states in Brazil where incomplete primary education is the most common level of education among voters. In total, 481,769 voters are in this education range. Informed race or color The race or color appears as “not informed” in the register of 1,376,196 voters in Sergipe, a percentage of 79.09%. Among the registers with this information, brown race or color is the most frequent, with 242,930 voters, being the main category among those who declared race or color on the electoral register.
