With the aim of promoting environmental awareness directly in communities and schools, through educational and informative actions carried out on an itinerant basis, the São Sebastião City Hall Door to Door Program, carried out by the Secretariat for the Environment (Semam), in partnership with the Supereco Institute, reached 1,598 people during the first half of 2026. The program began activities in 2026 on March 12, with the participation of students from the Project Turning. Since then, Semam has carried out more than 20 environmental education actions, including lectures, workshops, campaigns and events in schools, institutions and social projects. The actions addressed topics related to environmental preservation, such as installing compost bins, waste management, climate change, urban afforestation, mangrove conservation and sustainability. The schedule of new actions under the ‘Door to Door’ program continues to be implemented in schools, social projects and homes in various neighborhoods in the city.
