According to police chief Artur Andrade, the suspect continued the attacks until the dog could no longer walk. "The individual began to strike his own dog with a piece of wood. Not satisfied with having previously attacked the dog, he continued the attacks until the dog could no longer walk. He lit a fire and threw the dog, still alive, into the flames," said the delegate.
