João Rock will have a reunion between Negra Li and Marcelo Nova Credit: Disclosure The João Rock stage will once again bring together artists linked to one of the most notable albums in Brazilian rock of the 2000s. Marcão Britto and Thiago Castanho welcome Negra Li and Marcelo Nova at the Charlie Brown Jr. Acústico show, a project that revisits the album released in 2003 and which features in its repertoire songs such as “Hoje”, “Não é Sério”, “Zóio de Lula” and “Forbidden to Me”. The presentation takes place on August 1st, in Ribeirão Preto. The show will feature a reunion between artists who participated in the original recording of the project. Negra Li and Marcelo Nova take the stage alongside Marcão Britto and Thiago Castanho, members of the classic Charlie Brown Jr. lineup, in a performance that revisits songs that marked Brazilian rock in the 2000s. In addition to the guitarists, the project currently features Rafael Carleto on vocals, Mascote on bass and Filipe Costa on drums. "Taking our Acústico to the stage at João Rock, one of the biggest festivals in this country, is showing that our music remains relevant. We have prepared a special show, with weight, feeling and the same essence as always. It will be incredible to meet our friends Marcelo Nova and Negra Li to make this night even more unforgettable", highlight Marcão Britto and Thiago Castanho. For Marcelo Rocci, one of the organizers and artistic director of João Rock, the reunion reinforces the festival's proposal to bring together artists and projects that helped build the legacy of Brazilian music. "Charlie Brown Jr. has been part of João Rock's history since the first editions and has a very strong relationship with the festival. Over the years, the band has been present at important moments of the event and helped to build a very real connection with the public. Bringing together artists linked to the Acústico album in the same presentation creates a special moment within the program of this edition."
