The City of Araraquara and the Department of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo launched the Carreta Itinerante Cozinhalimento. The initiative offers free baking courses with a focus on professional qualifications, healthy eating and income generation. The opening ceremony to receive the trailer took place on Monday morning (27), in Pedro de Toledo square. In Araraquara, the trailer will remain between the 28th and 31st of July, offering two free baking classes for people aged 16 and over. The 50 vacancies made available were filled before activities began, demonstrating the population's interest in training. Created by the State Department of Agriculture and Supply, the Cozinhalimento Project covers municipalities in São Paulo with equipped mobile kitchens, promoting professional qualifications and encouraging new work and income opportunities. The opening event was attended by the mayor Dr. Lapena, the director of Food Security, Rodrigo Simões, representing the state secretary Geraldo Melo Filho, the Municipal Secretary of Agriculture and Supply, João Henrique Freitas, the vice-mayor, Meire Laurindo, councilors Geane Trevisóli and Marcão da Saúde, the Undersecretary of Food Security, Lucas Grecco, the Undersecretary of Agriculture, Anderson Campos “Mixirica”, as well as municipal authorities, civil servants and of the population. Qualification and new opportunities During the ceremony, Mayor Dr. Lapena highlighted that the partnership between the State Government and City Hall expands training opportunities for the population. "This course represents an opportunity for more people to perfect their talents in gastronomy and transform this knowledge into an alternative for generating income. The partnership with the State Government strengthens professional qualifications and creates new opportunities for the population of Araraquara."
