According to witnesses, the bus was on the port ramp when it fell into the river. The driver said there was a problem with the brakes. Eight people were on board and all managed to escape before the vehicle sank completely. They received medical care and have already been discharged, as confirmed by Barcarena city hall. The Civil Police (PC) reported that the circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the Vila dos Cabanos Police Station. The Secretariat of Environment, Climate and Sustainability of Pará (Semas) announced that it will also investigate the case.
