New information about the missing cook case The Civil Police believe that the cook Berenice Ramos de Aguiar, aged 60, was killed on the same day she disappeared, on June 30, in Ubatuba, on the North Coast of São Paulo. The information was given by delegate Tadeu Ricardo de Castro, responsible for the investigations. According to the delegate, the state of decomposition of the body found this Friday (17), in a forest area in Angra dos Reis (RJ), is compatible with the period in which Berenice was missing. "The date of death, for us, was June 30th. The body found matches approximately a period between 15 and 20 days of decomposition. It was not someone who died two days earlier, for example. It matches the disappearance of Mrs. Berenice", stated the delegate. ? "Only the necroscopic examination will answer that. It will officially indicate the cause of death and whether she was already taken dead to the scene or whether she ended up dying later," he said. The body was located after four days of searches concentrated in an area defined by the Civil Police based on the analysis of the route taken by the truck of businesswoman Eliane Alves dos Santos, temporarily arrested on suspicion of homicide (read more below).
