According to her, Antonio worked as a truck driver and used to leave early in the morning or return late from trips. "Because of a smoke, they took my uncle's life? It ended my aunt's life. Because now what will my aunt be like? And my cousins?", he said. The neighbor was arrested in the act, but is released after a custody hearing, according to reports from EPTV, a TV Globo affiliate. In the police report, the person under investigation confirmed that he got into a physical fight with Antonio and claimed self-defense. Tatiele reported that Antonio fell during the argument and that, according to a cousin, the neighbor held the victim by the neck. The cause of death, however, has not yet been officially confirmed. “We really believe it was due to the fight,” he said.
