After seven years away from Rio's football elite, Americano continues to celebrate days. On Tuesday night (4), the club promoted a celebration event to celebrate the title of Série A2 of the Campeonato Carioca and the return to the first state division. The meeting brought together players, coaching staff, management, employees and representatives of the club's SAF. Among them were managers Renato Valentim and former player Felipe Melo, from Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF) of Americano. Multi-champion for clubs such as Palmeiras and Fluminense and with the Brazilian national team, Felipe participated in the celebration alongside the cast and professionals responsible for the access campaign. ? The achievement was confirmed last Saturday (1st), when Americano beat Resende at the Ary de Oliveira e Souza Stadium, in Campos dos Goytacazes, guaranteeing the Series A2 title and returning to the elite of the Carioca Championship. For Renato Valentim, access is the result of planning started last year and perfected throughout the season. "We took over Americano last year, we planned and hoped to have the success that came this year. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. We learned from some situations that we needed to improve. For this year, we had more time to plan. Last year we took over the club a month before the start of the competition. This time we had a longer period to prepare the team and what happened at the end happened." Despite the celebratory atmosphere, the manager stated that work for the next season has already begun. "The celebration has to be on the day of the game. We still had this moment of fraternization together with the club's coaching staff, players and professionals. But, on Monday, we already had several meetings during the day to start planning for next year." According to Renato, the objective now is to assemble a competitive team to compete in Series A of the Carioca Championship, a competition that Americano will compete in again in 2027. Chamber pays tribute to the club for access Also this Tuesday, Americano received a motion of applause at the Campos City Council. Representing the SAF, manager Renato Valentim and sports manager André Vitor Melo participated in the ceremony, as well as advisor Pablo Klaver.
