Aesthetics clinic is closed after complaints in Cabo Frio Disclosure An aesthetics clinic was closed on Thursday afternoon (23), in Cabo Frio, in the Lakes Region of Rio, during an operation by Procon and Health Surveillance, with support from the Civil Police. The action occurred after complaints from consumers about irregularities in the provision of services. According to Procon, clients reported cases of misleading advertising, breach of contracts and offering injectable aesthetic procedures without authorization from the competent bodies. The agency also reported that it received a complaint from the Regional Biomedicine Council indicating that the responsible professional was not qualified to carry out this type of procedure. During the inspection, the agents discovered that the clinic was operating without a permit and without a health license. According to the Health Surveillance, the establishment had already been closed twice last year, but began operating irregularly again. ? Follow the g1 Região dos Lagos channel on WhatsApp.

Inspectors also seized materials used in aesthetic procedures, including products that had expired. All material collected and documentation from the clinic were sent to the 126th Police Station (Cabo Frio), where an investigation was opened to investigate the case. The owner was summoned to give a statement. Procon determined that consumers who registered complaints with the agency should be reimbursed for the amounts paid. If the determination is not complied with, the clinic may be fined and suffer other administrative sanctions.
