Accidents in Alto Tietê registered an increase of 13% in June, according to Infosiga

The data comes from the Traffic Accident Management Information System of the State of São Paulo (Infosiga). ? Itaquaquecetuba had the biggest increase among cities in the region, with a 36% increase in the number of occurrences compared to the same period last year. One of the accidents occurred on June 20, when a pedestrian died after being run over while trying to cross the Ayrton Senna Highway, at kilometer 31. Check out the numbers:

Among the accidents in June, 154 (68.1%) were collisions between vehicles. Another 28 (12.4%) were run overs and 27 (11.9%) were collisions with structures or other obstacles. SEE MORE

Traffic deaths The number of deaths in traffic accidents in Alto Tietê remained stable in June, in the comparison between 2025 and 2026. According to Infosiga, the ten cities in the region recorded 10 deaths each year. In 2026, Itaquaquecetuba, Santa Isabel and Suzano had the highest numbers, with two deaths each. Check it out:

Of the 10 people who died in accidents this year, seven were motorcyclists and three were pedestrians. Nine victims were men and one was a woman.
