Several regions of Rio Grande do Sul recorded temperatures above 30ºC, as did at least 20 cities in the state. The hot weather contrasts with that experienced in RS a week ago, when freezing temperatures, high humidity and recurrent rains predominated. ? On Wednesday (8) last week, it was 2.1°C — a temperature variation of almost 32°C from one week to the next. The same situation happens in Três Coroas. The municipality, which, this Thursday, is experiencing heat of 34.3ºC, had a cold of 4.2ºC a week ago. Rolante went from 33.2º to 5.3ºC from one week to the next, as did Igrejinha, which jumped from 5.2ºC to 32.2ºC. The entire territory of Rio Grande do Sul has experienced a wide range of temperatures from last week to this week, to a greater or lesser extent. The most critical period for instability in the state occurs between Friday night (17) and Saturday (18). While cities like Eldorado do Sul, in the Porto Alegre Metropolitan Region, are still recovering from last weekend's storms, the state is preparing for the arrival of more rain. The change in weather will be caused by a cold front forming in Argentina, which will advance over the Rio Grande do Sul territory.
