UOL found that this is the first installment of the purchase of Marcos Antônio, acquired definitively at the beginning of the year. The value is around 1 million euros (R$ 5.8 million).
The midfielder was signed permanently by Tricolor in March this year, when he signed a contract valid until 2030 after playing for the team on loan. The agreement ended the temporary relationship that had been extended until mid-2026.
Marcos Antônio is one of the starters in the team led by Dorival Júnior and was the target of Flamengo's interest in the last transfer windows. São Paulo kept the player in the squad and renewed his contract with increased salary.
With FIFA's punishment, the club is unable to register new athletes until the situation involving payment to Lazio is resolved.
