Parreira underwent a tracheostomy on July 7th, remains on dialysis and his health status is considered stable, although serious.
"The patient is being monitored by the intensive care pulmonologist, Arthur Vianna, and by the hospital's multidisciplinary care team", adds the hospital, which also states that there is no forecast for discharge from the ICU.
In 2024, Parreira underwent chemotherapy to treat Hodgkin's lymphoma.
