Cruzeiro occupies 13th place, with 24 points, while Internacional appears right behind, in 14th, with 21. The team from Rio Grande do Sul has just one point advantage over Vasco, the first team within the relegation zone. The Minas Gerais team, on the other hand, arrive at the duel on the back of a run of four matches without defeat. Inter lost the last two games they played before the break.
On Internacional's side, defender Maripán is one of the new additions to the resumption. Hired at the beginning of the month, the Chilean is registered in the CBF's Daily Newsletter (BID) and could make his debut for the club. The tendency, however, is for the match to start between the reserves.
Goalkeeper Matheus Cunha, another reinforcement hired by Inter in the current transfer window, will not be able to face Cruzeiro. The player belongs to the Minas Gerais club and is on loan to the Rio Grande do Sul team, which prevents him from taking the field against the team that owns his rights.
