The match will be played at the Dallas stadium, in the United States. Whoever advances will compete for the title on Sunday (19), against the winner of the clash between England and Argentina, scheduled for the other semi-final.
France arrives on the back of a perfect campaign. There were six wins in six games, with 16 goals scored and only two conceded. The team topped Group I after beating Senegal, Iraq and Norway. In the knockout stages, they went through Sweden, Paraguay and Morocco without conceding a goal.
Spain also maintains its unbeaten record in the World Cup. After debuting with a draw against Cape Verde, the team beat Saudi Arabia and Uruguay to finish at the top of Group H. In the knockout stage, they eliminated Austria, Portugal and Belgium, consolidating the best defense in the competition, with only one goal conceded.
In the French attack, Mbappé is going through a great phase and shares the World Cup top scorer with Lionel Messi, both with eight goals. Dembélé also appears among the offensive highlights, while Michael Olise leads the team in assists.
For Spain, the role has been shared between young Lamine Yamal, striker Mikel Oyarzabal, scorer of four goals, and midfielder Rodri, a key player in the balance of the team led by Fúria.
The confrontation also marks another chapter in a recent rivalry in major tournaments. France and Spain face each other again in a semi-final for the third consecutive competition. On the last two occasions, the Spanish came out on top: they won 2-1 in the 2024 Euro Cup and 5-4 in the 2025 Nations League.
In World Cups, however, history favors the French. The only duel between the teams took place in the 2006 round of 16, when France won 3-1 and advanced in the competition.
After 36 years, the World Cup once again brings together only champions in the semi-finals
The first finalist will be known this Tuesday (14), in the duel between the French and Spanish. The ball starts at 4pm (Brasília time), in Dallas. On Wednesday (15), Argentines and English meet at the same time, in Atlanta, also in the United States.
