The sergeant was released after paying bail of R$3,000. He was arrested last Thursday after attacking a teenager inside a motorcycle parts store in Catalão.
In addition to paying bail, the court ruled that he must comply with precautionary measures. He was unable to approach the young man attacked and had his firearm collected while he responded to the case. Provisional freedom was granted after a custody hearing on Friday afternoon (17), according to the Goiás Military Police. UOL contacted the military police officer's defense and is awaiting a statement.
PM was filmed attacking and threatening a young apprentice in a store: "I'm going to kill you". In the video, he slaps and punches the young man and points a gun at him.
In the images, the police officer is uncomfortable because, supposedly, the young man had stared at him. The teenager reported that he had only been working for three months. The PM insults him again: "all bums work on motorcycles."
The young man suffered facial injuries and underwent a criminal examination. He lay on the floor of the store while the sergeant attacked him.
In a demonstration, the Military Police reported that it had taken all legal, administrative and disciplinary measures. The case remains under investigation by the Civil Police.
