Tuesday (21) will still be marked by severe weather in the south of Brazil, especially in Rio Grande do Sul, where warnings of danger and extreme danger for high accumulations of rain remain.
According to Climatempo, the cold front continues to advance through the region and begins to influence the weather in Santa Catarina, Paraná and, from Wednesday (22), also in São Paulo. Meanwhile, the atmospheric blockage maintains stable weather and low humidity in much of the Southeast, Central-West and interior of the Northeast.

South
This Tuesday, the cold front, a trough in the middle levels of the atmosphere, associated with a low pressure system in the interior of the country, keeps the weather unstable in the southern region of Brazil. Throughout the day, this system should move towards the coast of the region.
From the early hours of the day, there is a forecast of heavy rain and thunderstorms in the northern half and central region of Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to rain in the west and south of Santa Catarina and in the west, southwest and part of southern Paraná.
Throughout the day, the action of a trough at medium levels of the atmosphere, combined with the intense transport of moisture by the Low Level Jet, reinforces the instabilities in other areas of Rio Grande do Sul. Rain may occur with moderate to heavy intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms and storms, with the risk of high accumulations, mainly in the northwest, west and central region of the state, where the situation is dangerous and extreme.
Instabilities also spread across the southern and western half of Santa Catarina and remain concentrated in the extreme west and southwest of Paraná. In these regions, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain.
By the end of the day, the weather begins to improve in the west, in Campanha and in the south of Rio Grande do Sul. In other areas of Paraná, the weather remains firm and, in the northern part of the state, the relative humidity can be between 20% and 30%.
Temperatures remain mild in Rio Grande do Sul due to rain and greater cloud cover. In Santa Catarina and southern Paraná, thermometers are decreasing, while in other areas of Paraná the pre-frontal condition still keeps temperatures high.
Moderate to strong gusts of wind are also expected in different parts of the region, such as the north and central region of Rio Grande do Sul, the center-west of Santa Catarina and the west, southwest and south of Paraná.
Southeast
In the Southeast, atmospheric blocking continues to prevail and keeps the weather firm in all states.
Only a few points on the coast of Espírito Santo and the northeast of Minas Gerais may record light and isolated rain. The sun appears between few clouds, favoring warmer afternoons and cooler mornings, especially in the higher altitude areas of Minas Gerais.
In the east and south of Minas Gerais and in the south of Espírito Santo, temperatures remain more pleasant due to the entry of sea winds.
Relative air humidity remains low in much of São Paulo, in the Triângulo Mineiro, in the northern and central-western zones of Minas Gerais and in the south of Rio de Janeiro, where rates can vary between 20% and 30%.
Midwest
In the Midwest, the weather remains firm in most of the region.
However, in some parts of the south, west and southwest of Mato Grosso do Sul, instability is increasing due to the action of the cold front over the southern region of the country. In these areas, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain showers, accompanied by thunderstorms.
In other areas, the sun predominates, with high temperatures in the afternoon.
Relative air humidity remains low in Goiás, in the Federal District, in the east and central region of Mato Grosso, in addition to the north and east of Mato Grosso do Sul, mainly in the west of Goiás and in the east and interior of Mato Grosso, where rates can vary between 20% and 30%.
In Mato Grosso do Sul, the wind is still present, although with a tendency to weaken compared to previous days. Even so, some areas may experience moderate to strong gusts in the south, southwest and west of the state.
Northeast
In the Northeast, the rain continues to be concentrated on the coastal strip.
Between Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte, in addition to the stretch between Recôncavo Baiano and Ilhéus, there is a forecast of moderate to heavy rain, with the risk of occasional flooding due to the circulation of maritime humidity.
There is also a warning for storms in the Salvador region and between the coast of Rio Grande do Norte and Paraíba.
There is also a forecast of rain along the coast of Rio Grande do Norte and eastern Paraíba, in addition to the coast of Maranhão, Piauí and Ceará, especially in eastern Ceará, where rain may occur moderately to heavily.
On the coastal strip of Sergipe, the rain occurs less frequently.
In the northeastern interior, the weather remains firm, with a predominance of sun, high temperatures and low levels of relative humidity, mainly in the center-west of Bahia and in the south of Maranhão and Piauí.
In the easternmost areas of the region, especially on the coast of Bahia, temperatures should not rise as much as in the interior.
North
In the North, instability remains concentrated over Amapá, the north, northwest, northeast and coast of Pará, in addition to the northern half of Amazonas and Roraima.
In these areas, moderate to heavy rain showers are expected, accompanied by thunderstorms, mainly between the afternoon and evening.
There is also the possibility of occasional and temporary flooding in areas of the northwest and north of Amazonas, in Roraima and Amapá.
In Acre, the rain occurs lightly.
On the other hand, the other areas of Pará and Amazonas, in addition to Rondônia and Tocantins, continue to experience firm and hot weather.
Relative air humidity remains low in Tocantins, with rates varying between 20% and 30%, favoring an increased risk of fires.
