The weather forecast for this Monday (27) is marked by the contrast between intense rain and extremely dry weather in Brazil. According to Climatempo, Rio Grande do Sul remains in danger of new storms, while areas of the Central-West, North and Northeast face alerts for low air humidity, with rates between 12% and 20%.
The tendency is for rain to persist in the South until Wednesday (29), with accumulations that could exceed 200 millimeters in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

South Region
This Monday, the day will be one of attention in the South Region, mainly in Rio Grande do Sul. The low pressure area intensifies over the interior of the continent, receiving a strong supply of heat and humidity transported by the Low Level Jet (JBN). The combination of these systems favors more frequent rain in much of Rio Grande do Sul.
The day may start with light to moderate rain in areas of the north and northeast of the state. During the morning and afternoon, the reinforcement of the JBN guarantees instabilities that spread further across the center-south, coast and Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, with a chance of rain of moderate to heavy intensity and the risk of isolated thunderstorms.
Until the end of the day, instability continues to occur in a large part of Rio Grande do Sul, which maintains the dangerous scenario in the state.
In Santa Catarina, there is a risk of storms in the interior of Santa Catarina, including areas of the mountains and the south coast. At the end of the day, there is also a risk of light to moderate rain showers in Florianópolis.
In Paraná, dry air dominates. The day will be sunny and steady, with sun between few clouds. Temperatures remain pleasant in the region.
Southeast Region
In the Southeast, a drier air mass predominates over the region, which guarantees firm weather in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. The sun appears between few clouds and there is no significant rain forecast.
In some parts of eastern Minas Gerais and southern Espírito Santo, the occurrence of very light and isolated rain at times due to the circulation of maritime humidity cannot be ruled out.
Temperatures gradually rise again during the afternoon, mainly in the interior of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, while relative humidity decreases in the hottest hours of the day in the Triângulo Mineiro, in the northwest and in the north of Minas Gerais and in the north of São Paulo.
Midwest Region
In the Central-West, the region remains under the influence of a mass of dry air, keeping the weather stable in Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Distrito Federal and a large part of Mato Grosso.
Only the extreme north and northwest of Mato Grosso may record an increase in cloudiness and weak, isolated rain due to the flow of moisture coming from the North Region and daytime heating, but with no significant rain forecast.
Temperatures increase throughout the afternoon, and the highlight continues to be the low relative humidity between Goiás, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso and north-central Mato Grosso do Sul, with a low humidity warning for the north of Goiás, where rates can be between 12% and 20%.
Northeast Region
In the Northeast, the rains on the east coast gradually lose intensity, but there is still a forecast of light to moderate rain between the coast of Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas and the coastal strip and east of Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte.
On the north coast, on the coast of Maranhão, Piauí and Ceará, there is also a forecast of light and temporary rain at some times of the day.
The interior of the region remains predominantly sunny, hot, high temperatures and low levels of humidity in much of Bahia, Piauí and Ceará, south-central Maranhão and the western half of Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte.
North Region
In the North, the heat and high humidity continue to favor the formation of areas of instability over part of the region.
There is a forecast of moderate to heavy rain showers in the west, north and east of Amazonas, in Roraima, Amapá and southwest of Pará, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms.
In Acre, in the south and central region of Amazonas, on the coast and in areas of northern Pará, the rains are more localized and without significant impacts.
In Tocantins, Rondônia and much of Pará, the weather continues to be firm, with high temperatures and low air humidity. In Tocantins, the situation is alert, with relative air humidity values ??between 12% and 20%, a condition that continues to increase the risk of fires.
The weather remains muggy in the region.
