The cold front that advanced through the south of the country loses strength and moves quickly towards the ocean this Sunday (2), but still influences the weather in the early hours of the day.

While the rain decreases in the South Region, a mass of dry air advances over much of Brazil, maintaining firm weather and low humidity in areas of the Central-West, Southeast and interior of the Northeast.

Check Climatempo's forecast for each region of the country.

South

The cold front still causes rain of moderate to heavy intensity during the night and early morning in the north and on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to the west of Santa Catarina and the west and southwest of Paraná.

Throughout the morning, the instability loses strength and the weather improves with the arrival of a mass of drier and colder air. In Rio Grande do Sul, attention remains on the hydrological impacts caused by the rains of the last few days. In the east, on the coast of the region and in the south of Rio Grande do Sul, Sunday will have more pleasant temperatures.

Southeast

The cold front will already be over the ocean, far from the Southeast. The circulation of maritime winds maintains greater cloudiness between Espírito Santo, the coast of Rio de Janeiro and the east of Minas Gerais.

There is a possibility of light and temporary rain, especially in Espírito Santo. In other areas of the region, including São Paulo and the center and west of Minas Gerais, the weather remains firm, with pleasant temperatures and low levels of humidity during the afternoon, especially in the interior of São Paulo and in the Triângulo Mineiro.

Midwest

The influence of the cold front favors rain showers in the early hours of the day in the west, southwest and south of Mato Grosso do Sul. The tendency is for improvement in the morning.

In the extreme west, southwest and northwest of Mato Grosso, the combination of heat and humidity coming from the North Region can cause moderate and occasionally strong showers.

In other areas of the Central-West, firm weather predominates, with sun, low air humidity and a large temperature range between morning and afternoon.

Northeast

The oceanic cold front continues to advance slowly along the coast of Bahia and keeps the sky more closed between the extreme south and the coast of Bahia, including areas between Porto Seguro, Ilhéus and Salvador.

Rain varies from light to moderate, with the possibility of more intense showers in some spots. Between Sergipe and Rio Grande do Norte, trade winds favor rapid rain along the coast.

In the northeastern interior, the weather remains firm, hot and dry, with low air humidity and the risk of fires in areas of Bahia, Maranhão and Piauí.

North

The heat and high humidity continue to encourage the formation of rain showers, especially between the afternoon and evening.

The largest volumes are expected in the north and west of Amazonas, Acre, Amapá, west and south of Rondônia, where rain may occur with moderate to heavy intensity.

In the north of Pará, the forecast is for light rain. In Tocantins, Roraima, other areas of Rondônia, Pará and eastern Amazonas, Sunday will be characterized by firm weather, heat and, in the case of Tocantins, low air humidity.
