Right at the beginning of the interview, Pedro Gabriel highlighted the affection received by Grêmio fans during the delegation's arrival in Sinop, yesterday. "For us, it is very gratifying to come and play here in Sinop. I think that when we got off the bus, we saw the affection of the fans. I think the support of the Grêmio fans is very important. It is very gratifying", he stated.
Asked about the change in temperature, as the squad left the cold of Rio Grande do Sul to face the heat of Mato Grosso, the full-back assured that the team is prepared. "I think we are always well prepared. We also have the heat in the South there, which is very strong. So, I think we come prepared, yes", he said.
Another topic discussed was the state of the Gigante do Norte lawn, which has historically been criticized due to its precariousness. "We also faced Clube do Cascavel there in Cascavel, which is a very heavy field, with rain. And I think we're going to play the game. Regarding the preparation period during the calendar break, the full-back highlighted that the training time allowed coach Luís Castro to correct important aspects of the team, something that was not possible at the beginning of the season due to the intense sequence of matches. We traveled, trained one, two days, had a game the next day. I think it's very important this month that we have to train, to work, to adjust the things that the group needs. And I think this preparation will be very important for us and, God willing, we will have an important second semester", he stated.
Afterwards, he once again highlighted the importance of the interseason for the team's evolution before the resumption of official competitions. "This preparation is important for us, this month of preparation, because in the first semester it was a very turbulent first semester, with several games. And the second semester will also be the same thing, but, as I said, this month's preparation will be important, a month adjusting a lot of things, and we will arrive prepared for the second semester", he highlighted.
Pedro Gabriel also spoke about the recovery of full-back Marlon, who returned to work with the group after a serious injury, considering that he gained space in the team during his teammate's recovery. "Marlon is a fantastic human being. I'm very, very happy to have him back. The whole group was very happy to be able to see him on the field, to be able to see him returning. He gives a lot of advice, both he and Caio, who are experienced players. And I'm there to absorb all the advice he gives, because he's a guy, a fantastic human being, and he deserves all the happiness in the world too", he concluded.
