According to the Municipal Department of Urban Mobility and Public Security, some measures adopted by parents, guardians and drivers contribute to making traffic flow more smoothly.
Among them are:
* Plan your commute and leave home in advance;
* Respect traffic signs, speed limits and crossing lanes;
* Avoid double queues and parking in prohibited locations, which compromise safety and traffic flow;
* Exclusively use permitted locations for boarding and disembarking students;
* Maintain increased attention to the movement of children, cyclists and other pedestrians in the vicinity of school units;
* Follow the instructions of traffic officers, who will be monitoring and acting, whenever necessary, to organize the flow and ensure pedestrian safety.
"We count on the support of families and the understanding of other drivers so that the return to school can occur safely. Our school units are organizing themselves to welcome children and complete another stage of learning by the end of the year", highlighted the Secretary of Education, Reginaldo Teixeira.
The secretary of Semob, Colonel Francyanne Lacerda, also highlighted that small attitudes of respect for traffic rules directly contribute to the protection of students and the entire school community. During the week, educational blitzes will be carried out by the traffic education team near schools, with the aim of raising awareness among the population.
Returning to school is always a special moment of reunions and new learning. For this moment to happen in a peaceful and welcoming way, parents are also advised to organize their children's materials and belongings in advance and plan to leave the house with extra time, avoiding delays.
