According to the board, the absence in the FMF Cup is part of strategic planning for 2027, when Alvinegro will have a full calendar, with the Mato Grosso Championship, Centro-Oeste Cup, Copa do Brasil and Series D of the Brazilian Championship.
According to the club, given the sequence of competitions and the need to prepare the squad adequately, participation in the FMF Cup, scheduled to start only in September, would not make sense from a sporting and management point of view.
“Mixto reinforces its commitment to the future and to building a competitive team for the four 2027 competitions. The decision is responsible and aims to ensure that Alvinegro arrives strong and prepared for national and regional challenges, prioritizing the excellence and sustainability of the project in the long term”, highlighted the board in a note.
At the same time, the club announced the end of the loans of three players. Midfielder Esquerdinha returns to Retrô-PE, midfielder Maurício returns to XV de Piracicaba-SP and midfielder Vinícius Yuji returns to Guarani-SP.
