The only goal of the match was scored by defender Feliphe, in the first half, guaranteeing the Mato Grosso team's advantage in front of the fans. Luverdense controlled much of the action and managed to hold off pressure from the visitors in the final stage to confirm the positive result.
The return game will be next Sunday (12), at the Cassolão stadium, in Rolim de Moura (RO), 6 pm. In case of a draw, Luverdense advances. A victory for Guaporé by one goal difference takes the decision to penalties, while a victory by two or more goals guarantees the classification of the team from Rondônia.
Luverdense is the only representative of Mato Grosso still alive in Series D.
