Request presented by Vivienne cites 'personal reason' for the name change. Vivienne submitted the request three days after turning 18.
Vivienne already uses the surname Jolie in professional work. She appears as 'Vivienne Jolie' in the Playbill for 'The Outsiders', a Broadway show that she helped produce alongside her mother.
BROTHERS ALSO SEEK TO REMOVE PITT FROM THE NAME
Shiloh, Vivienne's sister, has already obtained authorization to remove Pitt from her surname in 2024.
Zahara and Maddox also submitted requests to use the names Zahara Marley Jolie and Maddox Chivan Jolie. Vivienne and her twin brother, Knox, are the youngest of the former couple's six children. The only son who has not expressed a desire to remove the Pitt surname is Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie concluded their divorce at the end of 2024, but are still fighting in court over the French winery Château Miraval.
