SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) - The week begins with typical winter characteristics in Greater São Paulo. The region will feel the effects of a marked thermal amplitude, that is, a large variation between the lowest and highest temperature recorded on the same day, according to information from the CGE (Climate Emergency Management Center) of the city of São Paulo.

Monday (6) will begin with overcast skies and the formation of humid mist and fog, maintaining the cold sensation with thermometers around 12°C. In the morning, the cloudiness dissipates and the sun begins to predominate. This accelerates warming, taking the maximum to 24°C in the afternoon.

With the strong presence of the sun, the lowest relative humidity levels fluctuate close to 45% in the hottest hours. There is no risk of rain.

Weather conditions will change on Tuesday (7). The morning will be a little less cold, with an estimated minimum of 13°C and few clouds in the sky.

The sun appears in the first half of the day, but the approach of new atmospheric instability changes the scenario. The maximum temperature is limited to 22°C due to the rapid increase in cloud cover.

The CGE warns of the occurrence of isolated rain showers in the afternoon, which evolve into persistent drizzle throughout the night, breaking the sequence of dry days.

For the rest of the country, monitoring by Inpe (National Institute for Space Research) points to very different scenarios depending on the region. In the South and part of the Southeast, a polar air mass remains stabilized, maintaining the risk of frost formation. The harsh cold may reach higher altitude areas of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.

For the Central-West and Northeast, atmospheric blocking predominates, a meteorological system that prevents the arrival of cold fronts, causing extreme heat and severe drought. Inpe reinforces the state of alert for low levels of air humidity and the high risk of forest fire outbreaks.
