Prouni 2026/2: deadline to prove registration information ends today

Those registered in the selection process for scholarships can check directly on the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education on the Prouni side, whether they are on the first call list, released by the Ministry of Education (MEC) on the 15th.

The required supporting documentation is described in the selection process notice.

The private college where the candidate was pre-selected will be able to choose whether the documentation can be delivered in person or whether it must be sent via virtual/electronic means.

When receiving documents from scholarship candidates, the institution must issue a document confirming delivery.

The institution may also request additional documents, when necessary.

Scholarships

Prouni offers full scholarships (which cover 100% of the monthly fee) and partial scholarships (50% of the monthly fee) for undergraduate and sequential specific training courses in private higher education institutions.

In this second semester, the federal program offers 471,304 partial and full scholarships in 380 undergraduate courses at 879 private higher education institutions.

Of the total scholarships offered, 219,725 were full and 251,579 were partial.

Affirmative Actions

The program reserves places for candidates who meet the criteria of the program's affirmative action policy, including people with disabilities and self-declared indigenous, black or brown candidates.

For people with disabilities, 35,365 scholarships were offered; for black, brown and indigenous people 188,880; and, for broad competition, the remaining 247,059 scholarships.

New possibilities to win a vacancy

Candidates who were not called in this first Prouni call for this second semester will still be able to participate in the second call or express interest in the waiting list.

After the two calls, those who are not pre-selected or whose registration is rejected due to failure to form a class will be able to compete for scholarships that may not be filled, according to the criteria established in the notice.

Students awarded a partial scholarship can also use the Student Financing Fund (Fies) to supplement the payment of the private institution's monthly fee, as long as the course and the educational institution offer this possibility.

Prouni2/2026 Schedule:

The Ministry of Education (MEC) established the following schedule for the next stages of Prouni2/2026:

· proof of registration information for those pre-selected in the first call: from July 15th to 24th;

· result of the second call: August 5th;

· proof of registration information for those pre-selected in the second call: August 5th to 14th;

· waiting list: August 26th and 27th;

· waiting list result: September 1st;

· proof of registration information for those pre-selected on the waiting list: September 1st to 14th.

Prouni

The UniversityforAll Program’s target audience is Brazilian students with a higher education diploma.

Selection processes take place twice a year, with opportunities for entry in the first and second academic semesters.

The classification for Prouni selection considers the grades obtained in the National High School Exam (Enem) to classify candidates.
