(FOLHAPRESS) - Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) banned the sale and ordered the seizure of all batches of extra virgin olive oil from the San Olivetto brand and all products from the Fatti a Mano sweets brand. The measures were published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Wednesday (22) and take immediate effect.

In the case of olive oil, this is the second time this year that the San Olivetto brand has been the target of an agency measure. In March, Anvisa had already banned all batches of the product due to unknown origin. At the time, however, the label indicated another company responsible. Now, the distributor mentioned is Comercial Alimentícia e Cerealista Vale do Carioca.
The report contacted the two brands by email, telephone and WhatsApp since Wednesday morning (22), but received no response until the publication of this text. The report did not find the companies' products for sale on online marketplaces.
According to Anvisa, the olive oil presented an unsatisfactory result in the test to determine the refractive index, a test used to verify the physical-chemical characteristics of the product. The agency also states that the food has an unknown origin.
Also according to the resolution, the company identified on the label as an importer (from Italy) and distributor has had an ineligible CNPJ since June 23, 2026 and has an unknown address. Therefore, the product cannot be sold, distributed, manufactured, imported, advertised or used.
In the case of Fatti a Mano, Anvisa ordered the seizure of all the brand's products due to lack of regularization and because they were manufactured in an unlicensed establishment.
The measure affects the sweets white cocada, passion fruit cocada, dulce de leche, dulce de leche with coconut, Italian straw, jackfruit candy, beijinho, pé de moleque, fatticoco (milk with coconut), pé de madame and brigadeiro. These products are prohibited from being manufactured, sold, distributed, advertised and consumed.
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A PRODUCT IS IRREGULAR?
Anvisa provides a consultation tool so that users can check whether a certain brand has irregularities. To access it, you need:
1. Access the website https://consultas.anvisa.gov.br/;2. Click on the "Irregular Products" icon;3. Search for the brand name, type of product or date of publication of the measure;4. Click on "Consult" and check the information.
It is also possible to check whether a particular company that sells olive oil is registered in the Mapa database.
To do this, you need:1. Access the following website: https://mapa-indicadores.agricultura.gov.br/publico/extensions/SIPEAGRO_Qualidade_Vegetal_Azeite_de_Oliva/SIPEAGRO_Qualidade_Vegetal_Azeite_de_Oliva.html;
2. Search for the company’s registration number, corporate name or CNPJ;3. Check that the "Establishment Status" field is marked as "Active".
There are other brands of olive oil considered unfit for consumption and recalled by Mapa, for reasons such as product disqualification and CNPJ suspended or unfit with the Federal Revenue Service. The list released by the body from December 2023 to November 2025 can be consulted on the ministry's website.
