The parliamentarian reported a series of other figures on the impacts of the disaster in Venezuela. The number of people rescued is 6,462, 20 thousand people are in camps, 190 buildings collapsed and 856 buildings were affected.
On June 24, earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, of very destructive strength, occurred less than a minute apart and caused thousands of collapses in different regions of the country. The most affected areas were La Guaíra and Caracas. The drama experienced in the neighboring country motivated solidarity around the world. Countries such as the United States, China, Brazil, Mexico, the United Kingdom, among others, sent rescue teams, equipment, medicine and food to Venezuela. Recently, the president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked the Brazilian government for the help provided. Brazil sent medicines and medical supplies, such as syringes, gloves, masks, gauze and bandages.
