SÃO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS) - The President of the United States, Donald Trump, praised more than 20 companies in publications on Truth Social days after buying their shares, according to an investigation by the American network CNN. Analysis shows a relationship between investments and Trump's posts. A CNN survey identified that the US president published messages praising more than 20 companies on Truth Social a few days after acquiring shares in these companies.

Purchases involved technology and industrial giants. According to the report, the operations included companies such as Tesla, Apple, Nvidia and Boeing. In some cases, Trump also announced government measures or publicly praised companies after investments.

Trump promised to speed up licenses for Nvidia. In a publication made on April 15, 2025 in Truth Social, the president stated that "all necessary licenses will be expedited and delivered quickly" to the company and companies in the sector. Days earlier, however, he had purchased between US$200,000 and US$500,000 in Nvidia shares, information that he did not mention to his more than 9 million followers.

White House denies conflict of interest. The government claims that investments are managed by independent financial institutions and says that the president does not directly participate in decisions about the share portfolio.

"[Trump's assets are] held in completely discretionary accounts managed by independent financial institutions."

President Trump acts only in the best interests of the American public - which is why he was re-elected to this office by a large majority, despite years of lies and false accusations against him and his businesses by the fake news media. There are no conflicts of interest. White House spokesperson in a note sent to CNN.
