Tottenham coach doesn't expect Richarlison to stay: 'Sometimes he says he wants to leave'
After the victory over Chelsea in a friendly played this Saturday morning (1st), coach Roberto De Zerbi commented on Richarlison's future at Tottenham and avoided guaranteeing the Brazilian striker's stay. According to...
"I didn't quite understand, because sometimes he says he wants to stay and other times he says he wants to leave. There's no problem at all. He's a lovely guy, we all know him. He works hard every day and takes everything very seriously," he declared.
De Zerbi also highlighted the player's qualities and recognized the difficulty of finding a replacement with similar characteristics.
"It's not easy to find another striker like Richarlison, because he scores goals and knows how to score them. With a new center forward, we're not sure. He scored 12 goals last season, and that didn't happen because of luck, but because he knows how to score goals," he said.
Hired by the London club in July 2022, Richarlison was unable to repeat the same performance he presented at Everton. Last season, despite scoring important goals in the fight against relegation, he had irregular performances and lost space in the Brazilian team, leaving him out of the World Cup.
In recent months, the striker's name has been associated with Juventus. Tottenham would be willing to trade him for amounts between 20 million and 25 million euros, around R$147 million.
The Turin team, however, signed Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain and should not look for another center forward at this time.
In the previous season, Richarlison even left the Frenchman on the bench. On loan at Tottenham, Kolo Muani scored just five goals in 41 matches. Dominic Solanke, another option for attacking command, faced physical problems and played 20 games, scoring six goals.
Presence at auction could take Neymar out of Santos' decision in the Copa do Brasil
The Neymar Institute's charity auction could prevent the striker from traveling with the Santos delegation to Belém. The number 10 will still be re-evaluated, and his participation in the decisive duel against Remo remains undefined
