WHO ARE THEY
Sandro Tonali
Tottenham paid 100 million pounds (around R$690 million at current prices) to take Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali from Newcastle.
The 26-year-old midfielder was also a target for Arsenal and Manchester City, according to the English press.
Matthew Fernandes
Spurs paid 85 million pounds (R$590 million) to get the 21-year-old midfielder from West Ham, relegated last season. Matthew Fernandes was another coveted name on the football market. The Spanish press reported Real Madrid's interest in the athlete following José Mourinho's return to the Merengue club.
Jan Paul van Hecke
The 26-year-old defender, who played in the World Cup with the Dutch national team, is also a reinforcement for Tottenham. Spurs paid Brighton £52 million for the defender.
