Renan Santos registers candidacy for President and declares assets of R$ 795 thousand

Renan declared that he had R$100,000 in capital shares and R$119,700 in other equity interests in companies. There is also R$275.3 thousand in “well-connected with the exercise of autonomous activity”. Finally, the Missão candidate has R$300,000 in receivables or savings.

It is not possible to compare the value with previous years, as this is the first time that the businessman has contested an election.

The Renan Santos government plan foresees the end of the quota system, the replacement of Bolsa Família with work fronts, a broad fiscal adjustment - which includes the de-indexation of social security and assistance benefits from the minimum wage and the decoupling of the health and education floors from revenue -, the merger of the Ministries of Culture and Education, the reduction in the number of municipalities and changes in the promotion criteria of the Rouanet Law.

In addition to Renan, only Romeu Zema (Novo) and Samara Martins (UP) have registered their respective presidential candidacies with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) so far.
