When asked about selling parts of Petrobras, Caiado replied: "It depends. Petrobras is leaving a lot to be desired in the gas area."
He then stated: "Now, you cannot ignore that Petrobras, in relation to deep waters, is the top in the world today. I think it (would privatize) gas segments, not the deep water part."
Afterwards, he was also asked about Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica Federal and replied that he would not privatize these companies. "In no way would I privatize Banco do Brasil. Banco do Brasil still has the power to contemplate, in regions of greater need in Brazil, access to this credit system", he said.
