According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the crime occurred in the early hours of Sunday (5), on Avenida Miguel Ignácio Curi. Military police were called and found Geiza stabbed at the scene. Vinícius would have fled after the crime.
On social media, Nicolly Patez, Geiza's daughter, published an appeal for information that could help locate the suspect. In the publication, she asked for help and talked about the loss of her mother.
"On the night of July 5th, at 4 am, I found him on top of my mother. He stabbed my mother. Please, any information helps. My mother unfortunately is not here, but God knows all things", he said.
The victim was taken to Santa Marcelina Hospital, but did not survive his injuries. Forensics were called in, and the case was registered as a femicide at the 24th Police District, in Ponte Rasa, responsible for the investigations.
