The police were called at around 8:30 am and, upon arriving at the scene, they found Marcos Antonio Lima lying on the ground floor of the building, with no vital signs. A knife was located next to the body.
Marcos Antonio's wife, who was also in the condominium, was found in a state of shock. Given the situation, the agents went to the apartment from where the man had thrown himself and had to break down the door to enter the property.
In the bathroom, the police found Maria de Albuquerque Félix, Marcos Antonio's mother-in-law, already dead. According to the police report, the victim had a stab wound to the neck.
The circumstances of the crime are still being investigated by the Civil Police. Initially, the case was registered as femicide followed by completed suicide.
