Tiago Martins Pitthan, 49 years old, discovered two years ago that he had advanced stomach cancer. The man, born in Campo Grande, in Mato Grosso do Sul, became news not because of his fatal prognosis, but because of the way he viewed his future.

Tiago decided to organize his own funeral during his lifetime, transforming a moment marked by sadness into a farewell party.

The objective was to transform a moment that is usually one of absence into presence, taking the opportunity to remember his life while he was still alive.

The party took place in May and Tiago became an example of how to approach life for many people.

Tiago died not before saying goodbye, this Sunday, in a video he shared on social media. The video published in stories highlighted that Tiago knew he was about to leave. In it, the man also known as the "good guy" stated: "I'm fine, I'm at peace, I'm happy. It was worth it, it was all worth it."

Moments later, on the same page, it informed about Tiago's death and his funeral.

Tiago died on the night of Sunday, July 5, at Cassems hospital, in Campo Grande (MS). His wake/gurufim was at Memorial Park on Monday morning and, "as his life was, it will be full of friends and love."
