Kris Jenner published a tribute to her mother, known as MJ, when announcing her death. "Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful mommy MJ," Kris Jenner wrote.
Jenner stated that her mother was the heart of the family and taught values to her children and grandchildren. She said Shannon taught the family to love, be kind and cherish every moment together.
Mary Jo Shannon has appeared on Kardashian-Jenner family shows over the years. She appeared in episodes of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and "The Kardashians."
Shannon is survived by six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Among the grandchildren are Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Rob Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
