Influencer Lito Sousa reveals cancer diagnosis and says he will undergo surgery

In a video published on social media, Lito stated that the tumor is an adenocarcinoma of the prostate, classified by him as intermediately aggressive. According to the influencer, surgery is already part of the treatment and, as with any procedure of this type, there is the possibility of complications.

Lito also revealed that he received the diagnosis about three months ago. In addition to prostate cancer, tests identified a benign tumor in the rectum. During the report, the influencer said that he always carried out preventive exams. Still, he stated that the disease was not detected in advance.

"I have always taken care of myself and have routine check-ups. Even though I had a routine check-up, it was not possible to identify what I recently discovered before," he said.

In addition to cancer treatment, Lito said he will need to undergo a new biopsy after doctors identified a suspicious change in the lung during pre-operative exams. He also said he was investigating numbness in his left arm, a symptom that had persisted for about a month.

In his message, the content creator stated that the last few months have been difficult both physically and emotionally, but said that he now feels prepared to share the situation with the public.

"This family that we built here on the internet is not just about perfect landings. It's about real life, with all the turbulence that it brings. I'm in maintenance, not in decline", he declared.

Lito Sousa has more than 2.5 million followers on Instagram and became known for his channel Aviões e Música, in which he explains how aircraft work and topics related to aviation. Before becoming an influencer, he worked for more than three decades as an aircraft mechanic, with stints at companies such as Varig and United Airlines.
