Free ChatGPT no longer has limits on conversations

Despite the removal of limits on text conversations, there will continue to be restrictions on the number of files, images and voice messages that can be shared, as well as the number of images that can be generated by artificial intelligence.

Free version and ChatGPT Go users will have GPT-5.6 Luna as their template, which replaces GPT-5.5. In addition, users will also be able to use a “Think” button, suitable for more complex questions.

In the case of ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscriptions, users will have access to GPT-5.6 Sol — OpenAI's most advanced model currently available to the public — which will be faster in research, planning and decision-making tasks.

It is important to highlight that the news for ChatGPT Plus and Pro are now available, while the changes for users of the free and Go versions are only scheduled for next week.

“This is a concrete step towards more comprehensive intelligence: making our latest models available to more people, improving the usefulness and reliability of the answers people receive, and allowing free version users to have text conversations without limit on quantity”, says the OpenAI statement. “Access shapes opportunity, and this update gives more people the ability to keep asking questions, develop an idea, and get the help they need.”

OpenAI may launch smart speakers priced at more than 300 euros. In recent times, we have seen more and more rumors about what should be OpenAI's first hardware product and which, supposedly, will be as if “it were the physical manifestation of ChatGPT”.

Now, Bloomberg has released more details about this first OpenAI product, which is being developed in partnership with Jony Ive, a former Apple designer.

According to sources close to the project, the product will be a smart speaker capable of synchronizing with ChatGPT and will have a “doughnut shape”. OpenAI and Ive's team chose to build the speaker with “high-quality metal” to provide a “premium look.” Furthermore, the device will be made up of “moving parts”, although it is not yet known exactly what their function will be.

Apparently, the speaker can be transported by users and placed in different parts of the house. You can leave it on the kitchen counter, on a shelf or even on the bedside table next to the bed.

As useful as the device may be, it seems that its price will be a little higher than that currently charged by other speakers that allow you to interact with digital assistants equipped with artificial intelligence.

According to information released by Bloomberg, the OpenAI speaker is expected to cost between US$300 and US$400, equivalent to approximately 260 to 345 euros. However, it will be necessary to wait some more time to obtain official information.

It is not yet confirmed when OpenAI will officially introduce its first hardware product, but according to Bloomberg, the technology company aims to launch it in 2027.
