Fire hits hotel in Londrina, and man is in serious condition

Fire started in the early hours of this Monday (6). According to the Fire Department, the fire started around 5:30 am in a room on the second floor of the building, on Avenida Santos Dumont.

Man was rescued in serious condition. The victim had third-degree burns, airway injuries and was rescued by emergency teams. Ten other people were treated for smoke inhalation. The victims were taken to area hospitals.

During the operation, military firefighters rescued an adult male victim found inside the property. She had third-degree burns, compromised airways and intense agitation, and was treated in serious condition by emergency teams. Fire Department announcement

Flames were concentrated in a hotel room. The fire affected air conditioning units, electrical installations and furniture, in addition to causing damage to the second floor corridor.

Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other areas. After controlling the flames, the teams carried out safety and ventilation procedures in the building.

The incident mobilized 11 firefighters and five vehicles. The operation included teams from the 3rd Military Firefighter Battalion and support from the Paraná Military Police.

Cause of the fire will be investigated. The circumstances of the fire will be investigated by the responsible bodies. To UOL, the Civil Police said that it has not yet been notified.
