In a vlog published on the England team's social media, the video (watch below) shows the artist interacting with the players at the team's training camp in Kansas City, where he sings the song "Castle on the Hill".
Despite Sheeran being a close friend of Harry Kane, star and captain of the English national team, many internet users pointed out that some players did not seem very excited about the artist's presence.

Some comments pointed out that the artist's presence adds to the series of incidents that occurred close to where the team is concentrated, such as the theft of training material, while others joked about the serious expressions of many players.
The English will now face the Norwegian team, which eliminated Brazil in the quarter-finals of the competition, next Saturday (11), at 6pm.
