The actress's mother, Nuriye Írtem, reported to authorities that her daughter mixed alcohol and medicine. "I drank alcohol excessively and also used heavy antidepressants," she said, in a statement cited by Habertürk.
Írtem's lawyer, U?ur Gökkoyun, asked that the autopsy evaluate an episode that occurred on a trip to Thailand. He stated that the actress had been bitten by a monkey and that this type of injury could have serious consequences, such as sepsis, and requested that this be considered in the investigation.
